Dr. Laura C. Ridley

Dr. Laura Ridley is a comprehensive dentist with a refined focus on aesthetic dentistry, blending advanced clinical expertise with an artistic approach to smile design. She believes exceptional dentistry exists at the intersection of science, precision, and artistry — where function, longevity, and natural beauty are equally prioritized.
Dr. Ridley’s path into dentistry was shaped by both creativity and medicine. Her father practiced emergency medicine, while her mother was an art teacher — an upbringing that fostered equal appreciation for problem-solving, technical skill, and artistic expression. Dentistry ultimately emerged as the perfect blend of those worlds. While several members of her extended family — including her grandfather, uncle, brother, and multiple cousins — later pursued dentistry, Dr. Ridley’s own calling was grounded in this unique union of art and science.
Dr. Ridley earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biomedical Science from Auburn University, followed by her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2008. She then completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the VA Medical Center Birmingham, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
With a commitment to excellence and lifelong learning, Dr. Ridley has pursued extensive postdoctoral training in cosmetic and implant dentistry. She has completed Level 4 Mastery at Aesthetic Advantage, a prestigious aesthetic dentistry program based at New York University under the mentorship of Dr. Larry Rosenthal, a pioneer in feldspathic veneer artistry. She has also completed advanced implant education through Alabama Implant Education, allowing her to integrate surgical and restorative disciplines to deliver comprehensive smile transformations.
Dr. Ridley is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association, and is currently pursuing accreditation through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry — one of the highest honors in aesthetic dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Ridley lives in Thomasville with her husband and three children. She enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and sharing good food —especially seafood — with family and friends.
